I am another you
A Pagan, a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, and Jew
Black, white, red, yellow or brown
We come in all colors, we share common ground
Give me your hand, the time has now come
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum
I, oh I, am another you
What we’re all doing here, I haven’t a clue
The dawn may be dark, but there’s light in your eyes
Is it peace that you want? Only you can decide
What brings us together? What tears us apart?
Don’t turn your head, just open your heart
No, don’t run and hide, just open your heart
I am another you
A Rasta, a Buddhist, an Agnostic and a Ghost Dancer too
The words to this song won’t stop any wars
It’s happening now, it happened before
Brothers will fight, their mothers will cry
Let’s stop all this hate before one more dies
Let’s stop all this hate before one more dies
I am another you
A Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu and a Zen prankster too
Black, white, red, yellow or brown
Peace is the word and Om is the sound (Om)
Give me your hand, the time has now come
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum
Your laugh is a song, your heart is the drum

Hey you there, do you love Jeffrey Lewis? Do you love Peter Stampfel? Are you intrigued by the notion of music that has spent so many years secretly soaking in laughter and joy that it is now downright psychedelic to look upon? Both Ways is the culmination of a decade's friendship and mutual inspiration, a behemoth of a double album, spectacular, unique. It is a signpost for drifting souls. Listen, laugh, wonder, delight, be made new. And play Orgone Accumulator fucking LOUD. Grain Sparrow
John Drumbo French from Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band worked with Thompson on two albums along with Fred Frith and Henry Kaiser.
Those two French, Frith, Kaiser and Thompson albums led me to this.
Also, Richard Thompson taught Hugh Cornwell (of The Stranglers) how to play the bass guitar in a band when they were both at the same school (Emil and The Detectives?).
With a career spanning 50 years and playing with two of my heroes (French and Cornwell) Thompson has produced a fascinating EP. yellowcakeuf6

Oh my God, I'm in love! I can't believe how great this is. Hilarious as it cuts your heart out. It's brilliant, and scratches my itch about these times in the worst way, and it's so uplifting. Do I have to pick? Rachel Morris
